Title of position: Skilled Construction Labourer

Number of Positions: 5

Starting Immediately

Terms of Employment: Full time year round

Wage: 30 Hourly

Hours (each week): 32

Language Requirements: English

Job Duties:

Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas

Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt

Assist tradespersons such as carpenters in construction activities

Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials

Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials

Finishing carpentry, trims, doors and cabinet installations, etc.

Drywall installation and finishing

Insulation installation 

Painting interior and exterior

Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

Job Requirements:

Punctual

Willing to learn

Clean appearance

Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Clean driving abstract

Able to do physically demanding jobs

Good at problem solving

Willing to work overtime when necessary

Work Experience:

3 years' experience in the same position; Carpentry background

Education: Some Post Secondary is an asset
