J.A.M Paving is an established Commercial Construction and Paving contractor located in Milton Ontario, and offering services throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

J.A.M Paving’s services include new installations and repairs to existing roads and traffic surfaces, as well as winter maintenance during winter months.  Offerings include road asphalt, interlocking, concrete, epoxy paving and coatings in the commercial and residential space.

J.A.M Paving is seeking a self-motivated Site Foreman with experience in the industry (or related industry) to supervise and coordinate site workers and subcontractors on various jobs.  

The successful candidate will supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers on various projects, including the supervision and scheduling of heavy equipment operators as well as apprentices and general labourers.

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone with experience to establish their career with a reputable construction and paving company. 

 

Job Duties:

  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who operate paving and other similar heavy equipment
  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers and labourers.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
  • Requisition materials and supplies
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
  • Train or arrange for training of workers
  • Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions
  • Prepare production and other reports

 

Qualifications:

  • Good time and document management skills;
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communicator with a focus in workplace safety
  • Must have at least 3 years of related supervisory experience in the Paving industry.
