Position: Early Childhood Educator
Employment term: Permanent, full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Wage: $18.50 – $21.00/hr (depending on experience)
Hours: 30 – 40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay per year
Job Duties:

Responsible for the constant supervision, safety and well-being of the children
Recognize and responds to the needs of each child by using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques
Evaluate the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss problems/progress with parents and with management regularly
Plan and implement childcare programs to promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children and operate at all times in compliance with all childcare licensing standards
Ensure that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe
Assist and encourage children to learn proper eating, dressing, toilet habits
Schedule and maintain weekly and monthly activities
Maintain policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies
Attend staff meetings as directed by management
Must be able to relate to children on their level, without losing sight of teaching objective
Perform other duties as may be assigned by management
Job Requirements:

Valid E.C.E Certificate
Valid First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate
Experience is an asset
Educational Requirement:

A college certificate or diploma in early childhood education
Language Requirements: Proficient level of English skills is required
