Retail Sporting Goods and Bicycles, we sell New Used & Consignment Sporting Goods and Bicycles. We are a brick and mortar store that also sells online. We sell Hockey equipment for players and goalies (Ice, Street & Roller hockey) , Baseball equipment for the whole team, Lacrosse equipment, Soccer equipment, Skis, ski boots, poles, etc as well as Snowboards and snowboard boots, Racket sports including Tennis, Badminton, Pickleball, as well as Ice skates, inline skates or rollerblades, Water Skis wakeboards, e-bikes as well as regular bicycles. We repair bicycles, sharpen skates, tune and skis and snowboards. We take trade-ins of used equipment and we sell used equipment on consignment as well.
Position: Shop Supervisor
Work Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
Wage: $22.00/hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee staff in sales associates, cashiers, greeters, stock people, and repairer to ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Assist manager with day- to-day operation and work closely with manager
- Assign staff to duties and distribute staff work schedules
- Drive, motivate, and encourage retail sales staff to achieve sales targets
- Prepare sales volume and Identify market trends that appeal to customers
- Maintain inventory in stock and online orders of merchandise
- Coordinate shipping and ensure correct quantities, barcodes and tagging is done correctly and accurately
- Monitor stocks and product displays and the general appearance of the store
- Authorize the transactions for administering refunds or discounts
- Handle customer complaints, issues and questions that may arise
- Hire and train new staff and monitor staff on performance
- Maintain health and safety measures and store’s cleanliness at all times
- Other tasks as may be requested by manager
Requirements/Education and other requirements
- Completion of secondary school required
- 1 – 2 years of retail sales experience, preferably supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of sports products
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with staff and customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
