Education required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Job duties:

• Ensure that drivers depart with appropriate shipping paperwork;
• Using a warehouse management system prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight;
• Schedule or monitor pickup, delivery, or distribution of products;
• Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials;
• Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick-up of goods;
• Processes necessary invoices to appropriate office for payment;
• Assist and evaluate needs with shipping points, services, weights
• Identify errors on packing lists and invoices and correct them;
• Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements;
• Monitor shipping orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents;
• Ensure team is assembling packaging materials and package merchandise per instructions, in preparation for shipment;
• Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated;
• Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel;
• Arranges for movement of freight to consignee/agent and updates the system with information;
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
