Job Requirements
– Education: Completion of college program in social work
– Experience: 2-3 years in a social service environment
– Personal Suitability: Client focus, Team player, Efficient interpersonal skills
– Language of work: English
Job Duties
– Review client information, interview clients according to designated intake procedures.
– Assess and investigate eligibility for social benefits.
– Refer clients to other social services as needed.
– Communicate with clients to assess their progress, give support and address their needs.
– Monitor client activities and provide effective intervention in crisis situations.
– Maintain contact with other social service agencies involved with clients.
– May supervise social service support workers and volunteers.
