Description:
Shanto Dental Ceramics, one of the largest and fastest-growing full-service labs in BC, is currently seeking
CAD/CAM Designers to work full time in our dental lab. If you have 0-12 months
of junior ceramist experience to fill in an Entry Level position as CAD/CAM– we want to hear from you!
General Responsibilities, assist our team of Senior Ceramists perform the following duties:
-Use CAD software design tools to ensure Rx anatomy, margin, color, contact and occlusion
requirements are achieved in accordance with doctor prescription
-Scan and design dental prosthetics (implants, crowns, inlays/onlays, temp crowns)
-Fit all designed prosthetics
-Make sure all Rx’s are being followed in your department
-Ensure all material manufacturers’ instructions are being followed
-Liaise with manufacturers’ around outsourced implant cases, overall case design, and return times
-Spot-check incoming work (bites, copings, opaque, abraded dies, etc.)
-Spot-check outgoing work
-Ensure the milling machines are calibrated and maintained properly
-Perform other duties or projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
-College degree or diploma or combination of work and experience
-CDT/RDT license preferred but not required
-3Shape, Exocad or InLab software experience – preferred
-Understanding of dental anatomy – preferred
-Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels
of personnel in a professional and effective manner
-Be able to multitask and make quick decisions
-Be independent and self sufficient
-Keep up with the fast-paced operation
-Good hand eye coordination
-Excellent time management skills
-Attention to detail
