2379976 Ontario Inc. (Trade name: Sew Industries), located at 80 Weybright Court, Scarborough, Ontario, M1S 4E4 is hiring for Sewing Machine Operators.
Term: Permanent and full-time
Education: Minimum requirement: No specific requirements, completion of Junior High School is preferred, but not mandatory.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of sewing experience specializing in outwear down jackets,
- Single Needle Operator specializing in setting linings, making pockets, and sewing zippers
Location of work: Scarborough Ontario
Payment and Hours: 17.50/ hour, 40 hours/week
Job duties:
- Assemble pieces of garments by matching patterns.
- Operate single-needle sewing machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products; specializing in setting linings, making pockets, and sewing zippers.
- Clean up and maintain the area around own work station.
- Ensure individual productivity quotas are met or exceeded on a daily basis.
- Ability to repair or sew sample jackets would be a bonus.
- Ability and experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Hand-eye co-ordination
