We are looking for well-experienced Senior Buyers – Retail and Wholesale for our company L’ OCA Quality Market located at 340 Baseline Road, Sherwood Park, AB T8H 2N4, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans to achieve organizational goals, such as increasing profit margins, reducing costs, or improving product quality.
• Identify and select reliable suppliers or wholesalers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and favourable terms.
• Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to make informed decisions about which products to purchase and stock.
• Oversee inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations, optimize inventory turnover, and minimize carrying costs.
• Identify potential supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions or price fluctuations, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on operations.
• Monitor and evaluate purchasing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
• May perform other duties as reasonably assigned.

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience 

Language: English

Hourly Rate: $28.85 to $35.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
