Skills Requirements:

  • Education: completion of secondary/high school graduation certificate
  • Work experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a retail store supervisor is required

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers, attendants to ensure efficient and effective customer service
  • Assign duties to cashiers and other staff, and create work schedules to ensure proper staffing levels and coverage during all shifts
  • Address and resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Authorize payments and returns, ensuring compliance with store policies and handling any necessary exceptions
  • Recruit, hire, and train new staff; evaluate and report on their performance to ensure team effectiveness
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for fuel, propane, convenience store merchandise, and placing orders as needed
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to support management decisions
  • Maintain the store’s visual standards by ensuring that displays, signage, and cleanliness meet company requirements
  • Assist staff with their duties during busy periods or staff shortages, providing hands-on support as needed
  • Perform key holding and managerial duties when required, such as opening and closing the store, handling escalated complaints, developing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries
