Salary: $17/Hour for 40 hours a week (Overtime as per BC labor laws)

Minimum Education: Secondary school

Language: English

Job Location: Surrey

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• Previous experience as a meat cutter is an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail
• Ability to work on all shifts (evening and weekend)

Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, clean and prepare meat, poultry and fish in standard pieces for retail sale
• Use power grinders and slicing machines to grind and slice according to the customer’s order
• Prepare special displays of meat, poultry, and fish
• Marinate meat with traditional spices for retail sale
• Receive, inspect and store meat upon delivery ensuring storage conditions are adequate
• Keep a record of sales and inventory as per requirement
• Clean equipment and work area to maintain health and safety standards
