Position: Restaurant Supervisor (NOC 62020)

Work Hours:  35 hrs. per week

Wage: $18.50

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Work Location: 1205 Pacific Boulevard, Vancouver, BC, V6Z 2R6.

Key duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food.
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Prepare food order summaries for chef.
• Establish work schedules and procedures.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
• Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures.
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
• May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets

Requirements/Education and other requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required
• Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline or 2 years of experience in food preparation or service are required.
• Organized, self-disciplined, motivated and able to work independently
• Interpersonal communication skills, communicate effectively both written and orally
• A strong commitment to team culture, positive attitude
