We are looking for a well-experienced restaurant manager to work for Farzi Cafe, located at 100 City Centre Drive, Mississauga, ON L5B 2C9, Canada. However, you will be required to work in various locations in the region.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and manage staff schedules, adjusting for peak hours, holidays, and special events to ensure smooth operations.

  • Recruit, train, reward, and, if needed, terminate staff to build a skilled team with knowledge of Indian cuisine and service.

  • Communicate menu updates, recipe changes, and portion standards to staff to ensure consistent quality and incorporating customer feedback, seasonal ingredients, and new trends to keep offerings fresh and appealing.

  • Oversee compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations, focusing on safe storage and preparation of Indian ingredients.

  • Maintain financial records, tracking revenue, expenses, and inventory to identify ways to boost sales and reduce costs.

  • Support marketing initiatives, including local promotions and Indian holiday events, to attract and retain customers.

  • Build relationships with community groups and corporate clients, promoting catering services and group bookings.

  • Plan special events and cultural promotions, such as Diwali dinners and festival-themed menus, to create an immersive experience.

  • Identify and negotiate with vendors to secure high-quality Indian spices and ingredients.

  • Oversee financial transactions, paying suppliers, managing payroll, and handling deposits to maintain smooth business operations.

  • Handle customer complaints and feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction and enhance the restaurant's reputation.

  • May perform other duties if required. 


 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: Secondary school or equivalent. 

Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience 

Language: English

 

Other skills.

Excellent Knowledge of Indian Cuisine

 

Hourly Rate: $53,000  to $70,000 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

 

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
