Position Info:

• Position: Infants’ Daycare Worker
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 3440 Boundary Road, Burnaby, BC V5M 4A5

Job Duties:

• Plan activities by reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to field-trips of interest
• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Build a good relationship with employees and community service providers working with children
• Create and maintain healthy and safe environment for children
• Evaluate the abilities, interest and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents, guardians or supervisor
• Supervise and suggest activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
• Detect the signs of potential learning or behavioral problems of children, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or Diploma in early childhood education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate, and IT Certificate
• Language: English
