Job Details:

• NOC 0213 – Computer and information systems managers
• Salary: CAD$120,000/year, or equivalent of CAD$57.69/hour
• Work Schedule: 40 hour/week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, except for statutory holidays

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research and Development

• Design, plan, and lead the effort in the development, installation, integration, and operation of our ERP system with additional functions & features
• Participate in validating system design, firmware and software architecture for internal testing and customer use, UI quality, and providing feedback to development teams to improve product usability and quality
• Provide technical support to development team, including code review and update, architecture discussion, analysis of logic efficiency, and debug log & reproduction of complex system issues
• Research and write technical documentations, including knowledge base articles, quick start guides, application notes, and code examples

• Program Management
  • Draft project timeline with internal developers, plan resources and oversee the development progress, manage project budget to avoid overburn
  • Work with purchasing, production, sales and marketing teams to capture requirements and project priorities and update development plan
  • Set up and execute mechanisms for testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliable performance of ERP system
  • Guide, manage, and be a key point of support for on-site deployment teams, liaise with management, development, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication of progress

Qualifications and Requirements:

-Attributes and competencies

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree would be an asset
• Languages: English
• Skills: Full stack developer skills, proficient in both front-end and back-end coding languages such as Java, C#, Spring Framework, SQL, HTML and CSS, Vue 2.x & VUE 3.X, JSON.
• Strong hands-on skills and problem-solving skills are required

-Experience

• 5+ years of experience building software for embedded systems and IoT solutions and 3+ years of experience leading and managing the development of a new program
• Experience collaborating with design and cross functional teams to make the complex simple for the user
• Experience conducting technical trainings

Special Conditions

• Experience with ERP system is strongly desirable
• Experience with production related systems, i.e., WMS, APS, MES, EM, QM, is required
• Team orientation and willingness to roll up sleeves to solve complex, dynamic challenges
• Entrepreneurial spirit, with track record for delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environments
