Purchasing Manager

Description

Job Duties:

• Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Select prospective suppliers, review quotations and determine contract terms and conditions
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price
• Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods
• Oversee the analysis of data and information of the construction industry
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Provide training, coaching and mentor-ship to team members. Drive a culture of creativity, innovation and continuous learning
• Stay current with purchasing technology trends and oversee purchase and implementation, as necessary

Required Qualifications and Experience: 

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or above
• 10+ years of progressive purchasing experience
• 5+ years of experience in leading people
