About this Position:

As the company initiated a new phase of resort development, Hidden Valley Resort is hiring a project manager – Property Development & Management. This position requires cross-disciplinary professional experience, and the ideal candidate will possess broad knowledge including real estate financing, construction project management, and commercial property management. Joining the company, you can leverage your industry expertise to lead exciting new development projects.


  • Responsible for the coordination of working drawings and the overseeing of development from design development through to occupancy, turnover and warranty
  • Assist in site evaluation and acquisition, including site feasibility, conceptual design, proforma analysis
  • Prepare project budgets, proposals, costs estimate, schedules and lead proposal preparation
  • Maintaining project filing and the updating of internal and external stakeholders as required with new information
  • Actively engage with investors, architects, planners and other industry leaders to generate awareness of GHD and its capabilities
  • Coordinate staffing resources to meet project deadlines for several projects concurrently
  • Liaise with municipalities, investors and other approval agencies in the pursuit of approvals and general coordination of work plan, communicating important project information
  • Manage project schedules, budgets and invoicing, initiating any necessary actions to achieve established financial targets
  • Ensure implementation of quality assurance procedures and processes


Expected qualifications:


  • Minimum post secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline i.e., business, commerce, economics, planning, real estate, resource development or equivalent experience can be considered
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate development, consulting, and/or other components of real estate development
  • Skilled in commercial and/or mixed-use development is required; experience in design development, and working drawing coordination considered and asset
  • Ability to lead by example and simultaneously coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong Knowledge of the full development and construction cycle including entitlement, concept development, design development, working drawings, construction, building registration and warranty periods
  • Managerial experience is required, proven record of managing a professional consultant team, real estate sales team, stakeholders, and government department relationships.
  • Experience in developing strategic partnerships and working directly with a range of partners (local government, private sector)
  • Exposure to real estate financing and marketing is required
  • Willing to travel regionally and internationally
