Farm Fed (K&R Poultry Ltd) is looking for three (3) full-time Poultry Preparers at their plant in 31171 Peardonville Rd, Abbotsford BC as soon as possible. No degree, certificate or diploma is needed. They are willing to train workers who are reliable, have a good attitude, team player and respectful. Candidates could understand, speak, and read English.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Repetitive tasks; Hand-eye coordination; Work takes place in a regular controlled indoor environment; May work in a cool or refrigerated area; May be exposed to strong odors; Working with equipment instruments, machinery or power hand tools; Must be physically fit and able to lift 30 lbs, push or pull. Ability to stand for a long period of time.
Specific skills and other duties: Prepare poultry for processing and for packaging, knife skills, operate handheld machines, hang the product on processing lines, remove viscera and other parts from the product. Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers. Remove filled containers from conveyors. Check products and packaging for basic quality defects. Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Ensure safe and hygienic practices are applied to all tasks performed. Help in other departments if required.
