Mauritana Enterprises Ltd. dba. Gusto A Taste of Italy in Vancouver, BC is looking for a skilled and experienced Full-time, Permanent Pastry Chef.

Conditions:

• Position: Pastry Chef (Full-Time, Permanent position)
• Working hours: 30-40 hours per week (shifted schedule)
• Able to work on weekends and holidays according to the work schedule
• Hourly Wage: $19.00-$21.00/hour (depending on experiences and skills)
• Vacation: 10 days paid holidays per year or 4% gross salary
• Position Available: 1

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• Experience; 2-3 years or more in commercial food preparation
• Language: English is required

Job Duties

• Prepare and cook various types of authentic Italian Pastry and Biscotti such as Cannoli or special Biscotti depending on occasion
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Create new recipes and determine how to present the food
• Supervise other kitchen staffs
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
