Pastry Chef
SP Cafe Corp. dba Wicked Café in Vancouver, BC is looking for skilled and experienced Full-time, Permanent Pastry Chef
Conditions:
- Position: Pastry Chef (Full-Time, Permanent position)
- Working hours: 30-40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Ability to do shift work according to work schedule (morning, daytime, evening, night, weekends, holidays)
- Hourly Wage: $17.31- $20.00 /hour (wage to be determined depend on experience and skills)
- Vacation: 10 days paid holidays per year or 4% gross salary
- Benefit: Free meals are provided during shifts

Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school
- Experience; 2-3 years or more in commercial food preparation
- Language: English is required
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook various types of pastries and treats such as wicked signature igloo, strawberry pot, cakes, scones, croissants, cookies, baguettes, sourdoughs, palmiers etc.
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Create new recipes and determine how to present the food
- Instruct staffs in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food and supervise other kitchen staffs
- Oversee kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
