Job Description:
- Retail sales supervisors supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers in the following unit groups: Retail salespersons, Cashiers, Store shelf stockers, clerks and order fillers and other sales related occupations
Specific Skills:
- Assign sales workers to duties
- Authorize payments by cheque
- Authorize return of merchandise
- Sell merchandise
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
- Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
Additional Skills:
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
- Establish work schedules
- Order merchandise
Ability to supervise:
- 3-4 people
Education:
- Secondary (high) School
Experience:
- 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages:
- English
