Job Position: Motel Manager

Employment Type: Permanent / Full-time

Work Location: 3086 Highway 16 East, Thornhill (Terrace), BC, V8G 3N5

Wage: $29.00 per hour

Work hours: 35 hours per week

Benefits: 4% vacation pay or 10 days’ paid vacation

Qualifications

• A secondary school diploma is required.
• At least 2 year of management experience in the hospitality industry.
• English

Job Duties

• Oversee daily work activities of the motel staffs including front desk, housekeeping and etc.
• Ensure the smooth running of accommodation facilities, including the safety and well-being of guests.
• Control budget and finance, manage stock levels and order supplies
• Arrange repairs and maintenance of the facilities
• Inspect the accommodation to ensure that hygiene, health and safety regulations are met, carrying out risk assessments as necessary
• Manage and train motel staffs(front desk and housekeeping), and ensure their awareness of policies and procedures.
• Plan work schedules and staff rotas, facilitate training and development sessions.
• Make sure adequate security for the motel is provided.
• Take care of the guests by listening to the complaint, and resolve the problem.
