Term of employment: Fulltime (40 hours/week) and permanent position

Job summary:

ND Fresh Meat is a specialty store that supplies fresh meats to businesses and households in Calgary. Our meat products are always fresh and ensure food hygiene and safety standards. We are currently looking for 2 Meat Cutters to add to our team. The primary responsibilities of this role are to cut, weigh, package, label and price meat, meat products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting,
• Grind meats using powered grinders and slicing machines,
• Cut, weigh, package, label and price meat, meat products for sale,
• Suggest complementary and/or alternative meat products to consumers,
• Inspect the quality of meat , expiry dates and ensure proper product rotation,
• Ensure the maintenance of equipment, displays and work area,
• Receive and store merchandise in accordance with the company's established standards,
• Comply with government health and safety standards and occupational health and safety standards.
• Prepare special displays of meats, poultry products,

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school.
• Eye-hand coordination.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Handling heavy loads.
