Job Description:

As a Shift Supervisor, Themis Security requires that individuals applying for this
position have met all the basic requirements for employment by the employer
including but not limited to: valid BC security license, valid BC driver’s license,
criminal record check, Canadian residency and eligibility to work in Canada.
This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be
performed by the Shift Supervisor. The individual in this position is required to follow
all instructions and perform any other duties requested by Management.
Role Responsibility
As a Shift Supervisor with Themis Security, the incumbent will play a vital role in
ensuring client safety while supporting and providing guidance to Themis Security’s
Staff. The incumbent will use their communication and interpersonal skills coupled
with the ability to remain calm under pressure, to be responsive and maintain a
professional manner.
Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions
• Supervise and lead a team of 10 to 15 employees
• Maintain and audit sites for compliance
• Complete shift activity reports and ensure that staff are doing the same
• Ensure staff follow site orders
• Perform administrative duties as required by Management
• Ensure security duties are carried out in compliance with all federal, provincial
and municipal laws
• Direct the delivery of security services according to third party service
agreements
• Maintain local site-specific post orders and directives by reviewing and notifying
Management of required revisions
• Maintain master schedules for all security posts and ensure submission to
Scheduler for payroll and billing purposes
• Address performance issues by following informal corrective action and where
applicable disciplinary actions in coordination with the Human Resource
Manager and Operations Manager
• Carry out supervisory and management functions and responsibilities, including
training of new staff, daily site inspections, maintaining compliance and
discipline of site staff performance of staff evaluations on a regular basis
• Maintain and update schedule on as needed basis and assigning staff to posts
as required

Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate:
• High School Diploma and/or College/University Education
• British Columbia’s Basic Security Training (BST) License
• Minimum of 2 years experience in security with a minimum 1 year in mobile
patrol
• Experience in supervisory role or as a team lead

Job Types: Full-time
Salary: Starting at $21.00 per hour

Schedule:
• Themis Security is a 24-hour operation. Shifts are based on an 8-hour rotational
schedule.
