Lumber Handler-Wood Processing

Job Title: Lumber Handler-Wood Processing (NOC 9614)

Employer: West Wood Industries Ltd.

Location:  249 Parker Road Scoudouc NB E4P 3P8

Wage: $15/hr 40 hours per week

Vacancy:  13 vacancies

Terms of employment: permanent/ full time

Employment Conditions: Overtime, morning, day, evening

Start Date: as soon as possible

Job Requirements:

Languages

• English or French

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience

• No experience required; we will train.

Duties:

• Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
• Sort, pile and transport wood products
• Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws and drying machines
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Assist other processing workers

Security and Safety:

·       Drug test, criminal record check

Work Conditions

• Fast paced environment, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, periods of times bending, crouching, kneeling, overtime required, manual dexterity, repetitive tasks
