Specific Skills

Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, Load and unload goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Perform preventive maintenance

National, Long-haul, Regional, Provincial/territorial

Flatbed, Refrigerated, Tractor-trailer

 

Weight Handling

Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

 

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)

we will assist the driver to apply for Alberta Class 1 licence through Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT)
Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) will be an asset.
