The Logistics Supervisor position contributes to the success of City Avenue Market by providing direct support to the managers through leading the management of inventory and communication with frontline employees and suppliers.

 

Title of position: Logistics Supervisor

Location：120 – 2627 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 0E1

Wage: $25.50 / hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

Vacancies: 1 vacancy

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Benefits: 4% vacation pay

 

Main job duties include:

  • Review of suppliers, pricing, service and support; match the invoices with packing slips and purchase orders upon receipt for ordering supplies.
  • Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization, resolve work-related issues, prepare and submit progress and other reports and co-ordinate activities with other supply-chain work units or departments
  • Assign and review the work of clerks engaged in the following duties: storing, distributing, and maintaining inventories of materials; processing purchasing transactions; scheduling transportation crews and routes
  • Coordinate and support the efficient movement of materials to all departments.
  • Order supplies and materials from oversee or local suppliers and look for opportunities for cost controls and patterns

 

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

Proficient with MS Office programs, including Excel and Word

Well organized and excellent at multi-tasking

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Team player but can work independently as well

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High School

Minimum experience: 1-2 years’ related experience
