Live-in Caregiver – Person with disabilities

Description

We are looking for a live in caregiver who will help us in looking after 72 year old man with disabilities.

Duties:
Provide companionship
Provide personal care
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Assist in taking his medication
Assist with personal hygiene
Assist in walking and regular exercise
Ensure his safety at all times
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning deities, lauder clothing and household linens
Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the employer

Anticipated Start Date: 2019-07-01

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $16.00/hour 40 hours/wk, overtime pay $24.00/hr after 44 hours

Province: Ontario

Education Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent

Essential Skills: Provide personal care, Provide companionship, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, Launder clothing and household linens, Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), Administer medications, Administer bedside and personal care, Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Experience: 1 year experience in Elderly care with disabilities is an asset.

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel regularly

Languages: English

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Work Settings/Conditions: Work in employer’s/client’s home, non – smoking
