Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $19.00~$20.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 3150 Ash Street, Vancouver, BC V5Z 3C9

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement child-care programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Supervise and coordinate activities of other educators and assistants
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
