Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Educator

Precious Early Years Childcare is looking for an Early Childhood Educator to work with us at our facility located at 826 20^th Street, New Westminster, BC. We are looking for someone who is a team player, able to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner, and most importantly, understand children’s growth and development and enjoying working with them.

Title: Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Educator 

Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)

Wage: CAD 29.00 – CAD 35.00 per hour (ECE wage enhancement included)

Hours of Work: At least 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4% of each pay, professional workshops paid by the center

Location: 826 20^th Street, New Westminster, BC V3M 4W8

Requirements:

·       Licensed ECE

·       College certificate or diploma

·       At least 3 years of work experience as an ECE

Main Duties:

·       Supervise, assign and review the work activities of other early childhood educators

·       Train new early childhood educators

·       Ensure a healthy and safe environment in which the children can interact

·       Plan and implement programs in accordance with the curriculum

·       Build feelings of security and trust in children, and monitor their daily activities

·       Maintain a friendly relationship with children and their parents

·       Observe children for any signs of emotional problems and learning disabilities

·       Share information regarding the learning progress of children with parents and other educators

·       Talk, sing, and read to children
