Job requirements

Languages:  English

Education:  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:  Experience an asset

Ability to Supervise:  More than 20 people, Contractors

Own Tools/Equipment:  Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves

Security and Safety:  Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check

Transportation/Travel Information:  Valid driver's licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:  Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Large workload

Work Site Environment:  Outdoors

Area of Specialization:  Interior landscaping, Lawn care, Tree service, Grounds maintenance, Design, Landscape construction, Garden centre, Nursery or greenhouse

Equipment and Machinery Experience:  Tractor, Tractor mower, Small engine equipment, Pick-up truck, Forklift, Backhoe

Specific Skills:

Plan and direct grounds maintenance, Organize and direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns, Organize and direct construction of fences, decks and walls, Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work, Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers, Repair and maintain equipment, Resolve work related problems, Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies, Establish work schedules and procedures
