White Barrel Wines Inc. is looking for Labourers in Beverage Processing (NOC-95106) in our beverage processing plant at 475 Short Road, Abbotsford, BC where we produce, process, package, co-package and ship a variety of wines to licensed wholesalers, hospitality clients, and retail liquor stores across BC and to other wine agencies in Canada.

Our operation runs year-around, Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm so you will be working morning shift between 8am to 4pm.  

Main duties include:

 

  • Perform Quality Control checks as per procedures.
  • Clean, sweep and vacuum product spills and clean up work areas.
  • Stack boxes on pallets and transport them to the designated area.
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects and make necessary corrections. 
  • Inspect skids and wrap boxes and pallets on wrapping machine.
  • Perform QC checks including, bottle/cans seal checks, metal detector checks moisture and water activity tests.
  • Move, stack and pack and co-pack the finished material.
  • Inspect and clean equipment and tools, distillery area before and after use.
  • Assist machine operators in performing their duties; ensure efficient flow of products on the conveyors to the robotic arm.
  • Perform a product change-over on the packaging line. Prepare for consecutive runs efficiently.
  • Change packaging screens/labels and make them ready for shipment.

 

Terms of Employment: This position is full-time (35-40 hours per week), may require overtime.

Language: Knowledge of the English language is required

Wages: $18.50 per/hr (Annual salary Approximately $38,480)

The candidates hired for these vacancies will have the opportunities to progress to a Machine Operator or/and Process technician position.

 

 

Education: Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience: 1-2 years related experience may an asset but not mandatory. Job training will be provided.

Must be physically fit.

Preference will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent residence.
