Position Info:
- Position: Restaurant Cook
- Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
- Wage: $20.00~$22.50/hour (depending on Experience)
- Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
- Number of Positions: 2
- Work Location: 1128 Robson Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 1B2
Benefits:
- 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
- Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- Oversee kitchen operations
- Monitor storage and order supplies to prevent shortages
- May assist in hiring and recruiting new staff
- May be involved in supervising and training kitchen staff and helpers
- Prepare a variety of foods by utilizing standardized recipes
- Inspect kitchen and food prep areas to ensure they are cleaned and sanitized
Job requirements:
- Language: English
- Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
