Description
Job duties:
- Responsible for peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, butchering and seasoning meat for various food menus
- Mix sauces according to the prescribed manner by the Chef
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers and storage areas
- Ensure foods are stored and kept at proper holding temperatures
- Sweep, mop and wash floors
- Comply with occupational, health and safety standards
Key Competencies:
- High school graduated or equivalent
- Knowledge of food preparation, health codes and sanitation
- Job related experience in food preparation and basic kitchen functions
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain pleasant manner and good working relations with other team members
- Initiative and ability to work under direction of Chef
- Ability to cooperate with and get along with other team members in a fast-paced working conditions
Work hours: 35 to 44 hours a week
Language: Basic English
