Kimchi Sushi is looking for F/T Sushi Chef.

Position Info:

• Position: Sushi Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $14.50~$17.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 14-998 Keewatin Street, Winnipeg, MB R2R 2V1

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook all types of sushi and other Japanese foods, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi
• Create new recipes and make sure food meets quality standards
• Keep records of food costs, sales, and inventory
• Order kitchen supplies and ingredients
• Train cooks and kitchen staff and supervise their activities
• Delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking, and delivering food to diners in a timely manner
• Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and other kitchen workers
• Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
