JTBC Construction Ltd. is seeking a F/T Tile setter.

Description

Position Info:

• Position: Tile setter
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $34.00 – $37.00 hour (depending on experience)
• Hours: 30 – 40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 1012 Boxcar Close, Goldstream, BC V9E 4S5

Job Duties:

• Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces for tile installation
• Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, cables, and brackets
• Mix and apply mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand tools such as a trowel
• Cut and fit tiles around fixtures and openings using hand and power cutting tools
• Position tiles and apply pressure to secure them in place
• Install tile edging strips as needed
• Cut, polish, and install marble and granite surfaces
• Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout to finish joints
• Remove and replace broken or damaged tiles
• Lay mosaic tiles to create decorative wall and floor patterns; mix and polish terra surfaces
• May prepare material orders and estimate project costs and supervise other workers

Job requirements:

• Experience: 3~5 years of experience in related field is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
