COMPANY INFORMATION

Boomtech Equipment Ltd. is seeking to hire a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic. The position requires a candidate with knowledge of various types of heavy equipment including aerial lift trucks and forklifts and should possess some of their own tools. The candidate should be comfortable handling heavy loads as the job is physically demanding. The position requires manual dexterity, judgment, attention to detail; hand-eye coordination; standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The candidate should also be accurate, dependable, reliable, and a team player. Overtime and flexible hours may be required.

MAIN JOB DUTIES

• Onsite maintenance/repair, troubleshooting, adjustment, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of rental equipment, customer equipment and tools.

• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems using computerized and other testing equipment

• Ability to inspect for faults and successfully repair the equipment

• Able to perform Ready Rental Inspections

• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, using hand power tools

• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications

• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment

• In-shop repair of emergency calls as well as regularly scheduled services

• Ability to work with limited supervision

• Responsible for service documentation including maintaining a record of completed repairs (annual inspections, etc.), proper completion of work orders, and other documentation as required.

OTHER INFORMATION

Work Experience Required: 3-5 years of experience

Minimum Education Required: Secondary Diploma

Valid Driver’s License is Required

Vehicle will be supplied by the employer

Wages from: $30.00

Hours per day: 8

Hours per week: 40

Overtime starts after: 44
