Position Info:

·         Position: Interior Designer

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $40.00~$43.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 1200 Lougheed Hwy, Coquitlam, BC V3K 6S4

Job Duties:

·         Consult with customers to establish their needs, preferences, safety requirements, and the intended use of the area and create interior spaces that reflect client’s needs

·         Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting, and other fixtures using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and graphics software

·         Create plans, elevations, cross sections, and detailed drawings, as well as advise on colour, finish, and material selections for floor and wall coverings, window treatments, interior and exterior lighting, furniture, and other items, while complying ergonomic and occupational health standards.

·         Read blueprint, schemas and drawings

·         Estimate expenses and supplies required, as well as provide advice on leasing, real estate, and marketing.

·         Develop final interior design plans and specifications in compliance with current practices and codes.

·         Work in a multidisciplinary environment

·         May direct site work crews and subcontractors

 

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 1~2 years of related experience are required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
