Position: Housekeeping Manager

Number of Job Vacancies: 1

Working Hours: 40 hrs per week, 8 hrs per day

Wage: $18.00-19.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Benefit: 4% Vacation Pay from Gross Salary

The Schooner Motel is located in the city center of Tofino, within 5 minutes’ walk of several restaurants and beautiful ocean. The venue features 19 guestrooms with a sofa set, a dining area and a roll-away bed. We are looking for an experienced housekeeping manager to join our team!

Main duties:

• Conduct inspections of all houses, rooms, public areas and facilities to ensure established safety, cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
• Purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment ensure adequate inventory levels.
• Arrange for maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment and company cars.
• Interview, recruit, train and supervise housekeeping staff.
• Prepare work schedule and co-ordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and their crews
• Address employee or team member questions, concerns, and requests.
• Assist with invoicing and communication with accounting on client accounts.

Education & Requirements:

• A university degree or college diploma in hospital management, hotel management or business administration is usually required.
• Extensive experience as a cleaning supervisor may substitute for formal education requirements.
