The Castle Rock Country Inn is a four-star, boutique hotel overlooking the magnificent vista of Middle Head Peninsula, the Atlantic Ocean, and the mountain range of the Cape Breton Highlands. We are hiring a Hotel Office Administrative Assistant. We are looking for someone passionate about working in the Hospitality Industry. 

Position: Hotel Office Administrative Assistant

 

Work Location: 39339 Cabot Trail, Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia

Wage: $18/hour, 35 hours per week

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • • Interacting with existing and potential clients via email or phone.

    • Providing support in organizing the hotel’s event and manage the event calendar.

    • Compile information packages for hotel events.

    • Ability to assist with office supply ordering.

    • Managing hotel’s Social Media accounts.

    • Data entry in relation to daily hotel bookings.

    • Filing, photocopying, printing, shredding and the distribution of paperwork.

    • Basic Bookkeeping and Filing papers.

    • Scan and post all receipts.

    • Processing bookings online.

    • Greet visitors/customers and direct them to contacts or service area.

    • Determine and establish office procedures and routines.

    • Compile data, statistics and other information.

    • Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences

    • Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information.

    • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems

    • Handling all secretarial and administrative duties.

    • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager;

    • Perform other duties as assigned by General Manager.

Requirement:

  • High School Diploma is required
  • Completion of college courses related to the area supervised is preferred
  • Minimum one year work experience in Administrative role.
  • Experiences in Hotel Service setting preferred.
