Hoshi Sushi Bar is seeking F/T Cooks.

Position Info:

• Position: Cook
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $16.25~$19.25/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 2261 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC V5L 1V3

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook individual food items and complete meals.
• Estimate and plan menu, food portions and requirements.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and wastage.
• Monitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment.
• May assist in estimating costs based on food ingredients.
• May participate in hiring and training new kitchen staff when required.
• Ensure kitchen and food preparation area are clean and sanitized.
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee kitchen operations.

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
• Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Language: English
