Description
Home Support Worker required to work in the employer's home in Edmonton, Alberta.
This is a live-out position.
One full-time vacancy
$19.10/hr for 40 hrs/week
Hours are 8 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Fridays
Required as soon as possible
Duties
Administers medications and assists with regular exercise (e.g., walking). Shops for food and household supplies. Provides personal care, performs light housekeeping, and cleaning duties. Assists employer with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Prepares and serves nutritious meals. Provides companionship.
Language: English
Education Level: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Required Experience: One to less than 2 years.
Working Conditions and physical capabilities include bending, crouching, kneeling, a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Physically demanding and repetitive tasks. First Aid Certificate required. Criminal and Immunization records required. Vulnerable sector check and references also required.
Personal Suitability: Punctual, effective interpersonal skills, dependable, flexible, shows initiative, organized, exercises sound judgement, reliable, client focus, and excellent oral communication.
