Salary: $27.00/Hourly for 35-40 hours per week

J.I.J Hauling ltd. is looking to hire dedicated Dump Truck Drivers responsible for transporting various materials from one site to other.

Job Duties:

Operate and drive company’s dump trucks to transport paving materials, construction supplies, dirt or garbage to and from specified locations
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections of the truck and inspect vehicle systems and equipment’s such as, brakes, tires, gas, oil and lights
Verify the type of materials being transported and ensure that they do not exceed weight restrictions
Load and unload materials using the cranks and levers inside the truck
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management
Ensure the accurate recording of cargo information, distance logs, fuel consumption and expenses into logbooks
Communicate with company dispatcher to organize routing and delivery schedules
If necessary, perform basic emergency roadside repairs

Job Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required
Must have Class 3 from BC or equivalent Driver's License from anywhere or should be able to acquire one
Must be able to communicate in basic English
Clean driving record
No work experience required, on the job training will be provided. Any prior experience operating a dump truck is an asset.
Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance and road safety regulations
