Permanent Full-time employment (40-44 hours a week)

Salary: $23.00 cad per hour

Work setting: work on various locations (rural area, homecare and visiting care agency, group home, employer's/client's home, nursing home, home for the aged)

Education: Health Care Aide certificare or substantial equivalent

Minimum Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment
• Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment
• Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
• Perform other duties related to personal care
• Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse
• Serve meal trays and feed patients
• Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
• Make beds and maintain patients' rooms
• Supervise patients' exercise routines
• Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas
• Bathe, dress and groom patients
• Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
• Answer call signals to determine patients' needs
• Administer first aid in emergency situations
