Position: Head Chef

Working Hours: 40hrs per week, 8hrs per day, 5days a week,

               (May have to work overtime if needed)

Work Shift: It can be daytime, evening, weekends and/or holidays

Wage: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Benefits:4% of each gross payroll

Main duties

 

·       Plan, prepare and cook our complete Japanese style dishes on menu

·       Make various types of sushi, sashimi, roll sushi, salad and combination sushi

·       Design and develop menu items and ensure food meets quality standards

·       Estimate expected food consumption; then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage

·       Supervise activities of kitchen staffs

·       May recruit, hire, and train staff

·       Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation

·       Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

 

Employment Requirements

·       Completion of secondary school
·       Minimum two years of cooking experience as a cook/chef
·       English is required
