Salon Era is a premier hair salon, committed to providing the latest in hair care. We pride ourselves on our team of skilled stylists who offer a range of services, from stylish haircuts to unique color treatments, using top-notch products and the latest techniques. We're currently looking for a full-time Hairstylist to join our team in a relaxing and professional atmosphere.

Position: Hairstylist (Full-time, 40 hours per week)

Salary: $17.00 per hour

Work Location: 1323 -8368 Capstan Way, Richmond, BC, V6X 4B4

Main Duties:

l  Consult with clients to recommend hairstyles that enhance their physical features, or style hair based on their specific instructions and preferences.

l  Assess the condition of the client's hair and scalp, offer basic treatments, and provide professional advice on appropriate beauty care treatments.

l  Perform a range of hair services including cutting, trimming, tapering, curling, waving, perming, and styling.

l  Use bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to create a variety of hair color effects, such as coloring, frosting or highlighting.

l  Maintain, clean and style wigs and hair pieces as required.

l  Skillfully apply hair extensions as per client's preferences.

l  When needed, shampoo and rinse clients' hair.

l  Possibly be involved in the training or supervision of other hairstylists, hairstylist apprentices, and helpers.

Requirements:

l  Completion of secondary school or higher

l  Completion of apprenticeship or college program in hairstyling with on the job training OR minimum of 2 years of hairstylist work experience if no formal hairstyling training or education

l  Ability to communicate in English
