Education:
No formal education is required
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience required.
Languages:
Written and Spoken English is required
Duties:
– Review blueprints/specifications to determine type of thickness of the glass, frame, installation procedure and materials required
– Measure and cut glass using glass or computerized cutters
– Tint and create patterns on glass by etching, sandblasting or painting designs
– Place glass panes into frames and protect glass using clips, points or mouldings
- Assemble, install, fabricate and attach architectural metals or related substitute products in commercial and residential buildings
– Repair and service commercial and residential windows, aluminum doors and other glass supporting structures, and replace damaged glass or faulty sealant
