Are you up for the challenge? If so, we invite you to consider the following opportunity! MDC Media is searching for a General Manager – TV, Radio, Print to coordinate our talented, creative-minded teams. What you will do…

  • Establish procedures and implement policies for newspaper Milenio Stadium, and Camoes radio and television stations
  • Coordinate and guide teams in each division to plan and maintain production schedules for publications, broadcasts, and video productions
  • Initiate, review or approve development of articles, broadcasts, productions which are written and produced in the Portuguese language
  • Provide regular creative feedback and guidance to producers and creators (who are producing materials in the Portuguese-language)
  • Seek out and explore new revenue opportunities with our programming partners
  • Prepare and control budgets
  • Hire and supervise staff, conduct performance reviews
  • Liaise with musicians, authors, producers and directors

What we are looking for….

  • A professional with at least five years of experience producing various media materials in TV, radio, print
  • Ability to speak and write in Portuguese as materials are produced largely in the Portuguese-language
  • Bold, strategic and creative thinking
  • Excellent judgement, written and oral communication, team player, interpersonal skills, with supreme organization skills

Here’s what you can expect in return…

  • Full-time work of 40 hours per week
  • Hourly rate of $33.13 per hour
