Primary Responsibilities:
The role of the General Manager is expected to lead the formulation and execution of long-term strategies, identify, and mitigate challenges and risks to the company, and evaluate the performance and work of staff within the company.
Strategies & Leadership
- Determine the mission and strategic direction of the Acceco via established policies and implementation methods to achieve them through effective management of human, capital and other kinds of resources.
- Be responsible for the Business Plan and corporate development path and report to the director(s).
- In full charge of corporate Profit and Loss. Plan, decide and implement the capital budget plan, source fund to support the corporate sustainable development financially.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the Business Plan time and situation changes.
- Executing the Business plan in each trading sector of sourcing, purchasing, sales and supply chain activities for each key account.
- Participate in the delegation and establishment of the corporate departments and associated staff positions. Build, lead and guide a team focused on aligning efforts to the outcome and ensuring each member is supported and mentored to achieve their potential
- Establish and manage key performance, revenue, and growth and segment our supply chain Standard Operation Process
- Develop the business plan evolvement periodically, with sticking to Acceo’s mission and vision of bridging the NA-Asia supply chain on the strategic level
- Architect upcoming strategy and goals for the forthcoming planning sessions for the next fiscal year and report to the director(s).
- Complete policies and S&OP procedures to create an efficient and optimized system within the organization (primarily to meet supply chain service requirements from Asia, including overseas warehousing, FBA services, etc.)
- Lead the development of supply chain solutions to meet company performance goals and metrics, Develop policies and S&OP procedures in each trading sector and monitor the budget as per Business Plan
Operation Management & Business Development
- Research and develop business opportunities and sales lead between North America and Asia at the B2B level
- Examine supplier qualifications based on dual-diligence research, product samples and credit check, assessing each affiliated supplier to match with clients’ order specifications
- Represent the company or delegate representative in the discussion with existing suppliers and commercial clients about financial solutions and organize the necessary financial resources to meet transaction requirements.
- Evaluate cost and quality of goods or services. Negotiate and/or oversee the negotiation of purchase contracts. Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials. Review and process claims against suppliers.
- Interview, hire and oversee training of staff.
- Manage regional market research on organizations and people to identify emerging needs and new sales opportunities, assigning team members to complete the tasks
- Oversee the inspection of SKUs on the shelf and the supply chain solution for suppliers or clients to realize the transporting across the borders
- Review and evaluate the reports of cost and quality of goods or services, identified for vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade or Logistics and Supply-chain Management, MBA would be an asset
- Minimum 5 years of business ownership or start-up managerial experience, demonstrated ability to bootstrap operations and explore business opportunities in the supply chain
- Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in organizations with international business presence, with broad experience covering the complete supply chain function, including M&RP, stock and warehousing management, sourcing and procurement, ERP system new-launching, and comprehensive market knowledge in Asia & North America
- Advanced management skills and leadership skills, experience in leading a team with more than 10+ members, can drive the team and execute business plans
- Expertise in marketing and businesses development experience, especially in category research and new business exploration
- Proficient in software knowledge, including Microsoft Suite and CRM software
- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal, judgment & decision-making skills
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and self-driven
- Mandarin will be an asset.
