Wage: Twenty three ($23.00) dollars per hour 40 to 72 hours per week

Prosko Farms Ltd operates a large farming enterprise in north east Saskatchewan. The General

Farm Worker will serve as a support to the farming operation of Prosko Farms Ltd. and is

expected to make sound decisions in fulfilling his / her duties and responsibilities thus

enhancing greater efficiency, productivity and profitability.

Requirements

• No specific education or training required
• One or more years of experience working in a farming enterprise
• Basic farm knowledge gained from working in an agricultural environment
• Fluency in the use of the English language with preferred minimum IELTS scores of 4.5 Listening, 3.5 Reading, 4.0 Writing and 4.0 Speaking.
• Capable of operating mid to very large sized farm machinery
• Having a valid 1A Driver’s license will be viewed as an asset
• Being mechanically inclined will be viewed as an asset
• Able to perform repairs using basic welding and carpentry skills will be viewed as an asset
• Have no allergies to grain dust or chemicals
• Demonstrated ability of decision making and problem solving

Duties

• Assist in desiccating and harvesting crops
• Assist in preparing soils for the next growing season by applying fall fertilizers
• Operate, service and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Check, clean and repair grain storage bins
• Operate grain dryer and seed cleaning equipment
• Work cooperatively as a team member

• Wear appropriate personal safety equipment
• Perform duties to ensure the personal safety of self  and others
• Complete miscellaneous farm duties as directed by the farm owners
